Reading a structure

Every entry carries its English name, its Latin term in italic, the system it belongs to, and where the structure sits in the body. Paired structures are marked left or right. The bar at the lower right is a live scale — it always measures ten centimetres at the current zoom.

Fascia

The deep fascia — fascia lata, the investing abdominal and crural fasciae, the intermuscular septa — wraps the muscles and hides them from outside. It is switched off by default; turn it on to study the compartments.
